Your first visit to Jackson Hole Care for Women establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know your doctor. To understand what to expect for your first visit to our practice, please read through this page. You'll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office(s), practice hours, payment policies and more. When you call for your 1st appointment, we will send a link to your email for background medical information so you can give us your history in the privacy of your home. If you prefer, you may still wait until your appointment time and enter your information from the waiting area electronically on our iPad.

What to expect at your first appointment
We follow all CDC and local guidelines for your protection against coronavirus and will provide a mask for you if you do not have one at admission. Please call us prior to entry if you have recent exposure to coronavirus or have symptoms associated with this disease so we may arrange testing before entry.
Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to allow proper time for patient information and insurance forms. Please bring all previous records and medication lists to scan.
Our nurses will greet you and bring you back to a private room and obtain basic vital signs.
The doctors always get your history in detail personally before you are ever asked to change clothes or have an exam.
We respect your privacy and never reveal personal information to anyone without your written permission, following HIPAA guidelines. All records are stored electronically according to national standards with firewall protections.

When entering Jackson Hole, drive to the center of town to the Town Square on Broadway. Take a right onto S Cache St. towards Snow King mountain. Drive several blocks to the corner of S Cache St and E Karns Ave. Take a left at E Karns Ave and park at our Meadowland building parking lot on the left side of the street next to our building located on the corner. Our office is located on the first floor.
Payment Policies
We will bill all major insurance companies after your visit. If you prefer to pay in cash or check at the time of service, we will offer a 15% discount with cash or local check. Major procedures are preauthorized. Payment plans are available to all patients. Just ask to speak with our billing expert, Mandy, to discuss all insurance and payment options.

Primary Care
Due to patient demand and limited local options, we are now offering Primary Care! Dr. Girling has always provided screening and preventative primary care to our patients. We have expanded our primary care options with the addition of the Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Tara Holley, to our team to treat any new primary care conditions for our current patients and new patients. You will no longer have to be referred out of the office for basic health care or problems for those in their teenage years through elder years.
Our Primary Care Services include:
- Annual and Sports Physicals
- Basic Health/Wellness labs and testing
- Immunizations
- Care of such conditions as thyroid disease, hypertension, osteoporosis, high cholesterol, asthma, and healthy diet/weight control.
Infertility
We understand that the decision to seek infertility treatment is one of the most important and emotional decisions that a woman can make. We start with a personal consultation on you and your partners’ history and concerns, followed by an individualized plan to work up what the specific problems are and then a detailed discussion of treatment options. We also understand the cost concerns of our patients and individualize the testing and treatments offered with these in mind. We also work with all the infertility specialists in the area to provide locally based care for our patients who require in-vitro fertilization and other specialized treatments.

Obstetrics (OB)
We at Jackson Hole Women’s Care look forward to sharing and celebrating your pregnancy and birth. As a small, intimate practice, we are able to provide individualized care to each patient and enjoy getting to know you and your growing family. Dr. Girling has performed over 2000 deliveries and has the experience and education to take care of both high and low risk pregnancies. On the one hand we are able to offer the best of technology with physician performed high level ultrasounds and genetic testing while still supporting natural child birth plans for our patients to empower their desires for their best birth experience.

Gynecology (Gyn)
We offer gynecology care in Teton County and surrounding areas for every stage of a women’s life from teenage years to the golden years. We provide annual screening wellness exams and health maintenance items such as pap smears, health labs, vaccines, cancer genetic testing, and STD testing. We are here for you when you need treatment for abnormal bleeding, pain, contraception, incontinence, or hormonal imbalances. We offer in office physician ultrasounds, biopsies, evaluation and treatment of pre-cancer cells of the cervix, hormonal analysis, and multichannel urodynamic for incontinence. Dr. Girling is an experienced surgeon in major, minor, and minimally invasive surgery to help her patients when this is required.
